Content creators frequently invade quiet spaces to generate shock and views. Sadly, this disrupts the day for ordinary people just trying to shop. Check out the video below.
Recently, YouTuber Sean Odigie decided to push the envelope with his content. With a massive following of over 396K subscribers, his influence is undeniable. However, the Singing Ghetto Christmas Carols Prank might be a step too far. He walks into businesses and yells inappropriate versions of Christmas songs.
To clarify, this behavior often borders on illegality. Technically, the law defines a public nuisance as follows:
“A public nuisance is a criminal wrong; it is an act or omission that obstructs, damages, or inconveniences the rights of the community. It includes conduct that offends public decency or morals, or interferes with the health, safety, or comfort of the public.”
Thus, shouting explicit lyrics in a retail store certainly qualifies. In reality, is this funny or just sad? Personally, I feel this shifts from culture to “trashy” very quickly. For instance, families with kids shouldn’t have to deal with this mess. Frankly, I am ready to title this whole situation “LOCK EM UP.”
At Trap Roots, we have zero tolerance for this foolishness. Consequently, we would have handed out six-month trespassing bans to everyone involved. Unless they had prior permission, it is incredibly disrespectful. Finally, drop a comment and let us know your reaction.
